About The Company
My name is John Reynolds and I set up the company in 2003 having initially trained as an electronics engineer some years ago. I left the industry for a period but then returned, added to my qualifications, and decided to concentrate my skills on the home-user's personal computer. I only tend to do work for private individuals as companies tend to require 24/7 service and vat registration, something I am unable to offer - sorry. Having lived in Wigston for 17 years, and in Leicestershire for over 30 years (originally from Gloucestershire), I am familiar with the area and do not intend moving in the near future so you know I'll still be around when you need me.
My philosophy
I realised that once a computer had been bought, aside from the fact that they come with little instruction, the home user is left to get on with it on their own until something goes wrong, at which time the usual options are the large impersonal company, or the unknown technician. I offer phone advice for free as I would prefer to pre-empt problems which can be avoided by a little knowledge.
Most of my work comes from referrals, though I do advertise in Yellow Pages and have an actual contact address and normal phone line, not just an anonymous mobile or 0845 number, so you know who you are dealing with. My phone is turned off when I am with a customer, but I will always respond to any messages left as soon as I am able. E-mail enquiries are handled within hours, upon my return to 'base'.
